Twitter Public Lists

twitterTwitter is moving forward and introducing features that we have seen for a while in other third party clients. In a step that will allow users soon to make ‘lists’ which in essence are ‘groups’ that we have seen in the likes of TweetDeck.

The interesting fact however, is that by default your lists will be public and attached to your profile; allowing other users to subscribe to your lists.

This is a good move forward for Twitter in an attempt to bring users back to the twitter site to use the service rather than using the plethora of 3rd party sites. The twitter team have not innovated too much since the start as they have probably been working hard on scaling what has become a massive project to stop us getting the fail whale all the time!.  It will be interesting to see what they do next.  Personally I would like to see images and video but that’s prob a little while off…
