33mill I read this book about a year ago but I thought it was worth discussing.

Juliet Powell is a a social media expert and co-founder of The Gathering Think Tank, an innovation forum that connects technology, media, entertainment, and business communities, Powell writes about the patterns and practices of successful business leaders who bank on social networking to win.

In her book ’33 Million People in the Room’ Juliet discusses the rise of social media sites, the important of leveraging social media for your brand and lets us in on some insider knowledge on how to be successful at it.

If you are new to Social Media this is a must read. It will teach you the basic fundamentals of what it’s all about and cites various examples of people who have come from obscurity to make their fortune by executing precise, planned and dedicated social media campaigns.  This is what sets this book apart from the general theory books and it helps to keep the practioner on track to hear the success stories.

In today’s ecomony it is so important to create a rich network of people around you – this book is a good foundation.
